Sipping a coffee with views of antiquity...

You know you are in Europe when you pass at least ten old monuments in one day.  Whether it be walking casually on the street, taking a break on a bench, or sitting in a chic cafe, the magical thing about Europe is how modernity and antiquity have so harmoniously come together.

If you are looking for this eclectic experience, welcome to Harina.  Harina is a cafe with a grand terrace located right in front of La puerta Alcalá.  This monument is an arch that is situated right in the center of a huge round about.  The cafe, Harina, which means flour in english has an ideal location.  The city´s biggest park, Parque Retiro is right across the street.

Being true to its name, Harina is mainly a bakery that makes fresh bread and pastries every day (you can see the big oven yourself upon entrance.)  Aside from being a bakery, this cafe also offers lunch daily and fresh smoothies of passion fruit, strawberry, mango, and kiwi.  Everything is organic, fresh, and made with care.  Stop by soon!!!
