Dinner plans Friday night? LATERAL is the answer

If you are in the mood for tapas made with a modern twist, young and energetic people, and a lively environment then the restaurant Lateral is perfect for you.  The food is good, served right on time, and is very well priced.  The menu has everything from traditional Spanish tapas like jamón serrano, tortilla española, solomillo (meat) with caramelized onions to things for the more curious individual like lentils with foie, quesadillas with spinach and gouda cheese, or the excellent goat cheese, tomato, and eggplant salad.  There are a few Lateral restaurants in Madrid, but the one located on calle Velásquez is my favorite!   It is open throughout the week: Sunday through Saturday.  If you plan on eating at Lateral on a Friday or Saturday night make sure you get there at the latest 21:00!  A 20 minute wait could be well spent having a drink at the funky bar located right inside the restaurant.
